Lancaster University has opened applications for 2027 postgraduate entry, and Indian students can now apply with a dedicated £10,000 Postgraduate India Scholarship (about ₹12.8 lakh) in the mix, alongside MBA awards worth up to £17,000 (about ₹21.8 lakh).
Every award is a tuition fee reduction, and applicants are automatically considered for Lancaster’s main scholarships when they apply.
| Scholarship | Value | Who Is Eligible |
|---|---|---|
| Postgraduate India Scholarship | £10,000 (about ₹12.8 lakh) | Indian nationals or applicants with a permanent home address in India, with a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent), on full-time, on-campus MA, MSc, MBA, LLM, or EMBA programmes |
| Management School MBA Scholarships | 50% of the £34,000 MBA fee (£17,000, about ₹21.8 lakh) | Full-time MBA applicants, selected on entry grades and interview |
| Early Acceptance Scholarship | £2,000 (about ₹2.6 lakh) | International students on eligible programmes who accept an offer by 11:59 PM BST on 7th April 2027 |
| Master’s Excellence Scholarship | 15% of tuition, up to £4,635 (about ₹5.9 lakh) | Students with a first or 2:1 (or equivalent); not open to MBA applicants |
To be considered for the India Scholarship, you need to be an Indian national or have a permanent home address in India, hold or be on track for a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree, and accept an offer on a full-time, on-campus taught programme starting in 2027. If you are still studying, Lancaster looks at your average grade to date, and the award is confirmed once you meet your offer conditions or accept an unconditional offer.
MBA scholarships are limited and competitive, with 10 Excellence and 5 Women in Business awards at 50%, plus 15 Executive Dean’s Awards of up to 40%, on the full-time MBA. Applicants need at least three years’ professional work experience, an interview, and normally IELTS 6.5 overall with no element below 6.0. There is no separate scholarship application: candidates are assessed through the MBA application and interview.
StudyIn’s counsellors in India can help you shortlist eligible Lancaster programmes, check how your marks convert to a 2:1 equivalent, work out which scholarship gives you the most value, and support your application through to your CAS and UK Student visa.
