Overview
OnCampus Dublin City University offers international students a supported pathway to one of Ireland's most highly regarded modern universities. Rather than applying to DCU directly, students who don't yet meet direct-entry requirements can complete an OnCampus Ireland foundation programme, then progress into a wide range of DCU undergraduate degrees, guaranteed subject to meeting the required academic and English language standards.
DCU has built a strong reputation for combining academic rigour with real-world readiness. It was ranked the UK & Ireland's number one young university by Times Higher Education in 2024, and is placed in the top 400 universities worldwide in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Through the OnCampus DCU pathway, students can progress into subjects spanning Business and Social Sciences, including Economics, Politics and Law, International Relations, and Marketing, Innovation and Technology, as well as Engineering and Science routes such as Electronic and Computer Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical and Sustainability Engineering, and Data Science.
Services
Once students progress to DCU, they join a university built around student engagement and support. The Office of Student Life works alongside the Students' Union to run clubs, societies, leadership programmes and arts initiatives, while also recognising student contributions through the Uaneen Module. The Students' Union itself represents all DCU students, organising events, peer support, advocacy and social initiatives throughout the year.
The U Building, DCU's Student Centre, acts as the hub of campus social life, housing meeting rooms, performance spaces, student support offices and quiet study areas. OnCampus Ireland's own Student Support team also guides students through the transition from foundation study to full degree study, ensuring a smooth handover as they move into university life.
