Understanding Clearing
Clearing is the process that helps prospective undergraduate students (both UK and international) find a university place after the main UCAS deadline of 30 June.
- It opens for applications on 2 July. You need to have your exam results, including meeting our English language requirements, to apply.
- Even if you currently hold an offer, you can explore other options through Clearing if you’ve changed your mind or your results are better than expected.
- Making a Clearing application on our website doesn’t commit you – you can apply to multiple universities and then decide which offer to accept via UCAS.
- UCAS might automatically place you into Clearing, or you can release yourself into it.
