Introduction to LanguageCert
What is LanguageCert?
LanguageCert tests language abilities in real-world situations and scenarios to better prepare you for the world ahead. Exams are delivered through innovative, award-winning exam administration technology and systems.
The LanguageCert team will also share tips and sample questions for all test sections to ensure that you are ready for the exam. LanguageCert exams can be taken in three different ways:
- Online, live proctored, anytime and anywhere
- Computer-based, at LanguageCert Approved Test Centres
- As SELT at UKVI test locations across India
The SELT option (LanguageCert International ESOL SELT) is applicable if:
- You are applying for a Student route visa (formerly known as the Tier 4 General student visa), and you are planning to study
- Below degree level (e.g. a Foundation or Pathways course or professional English course).
- You wish to study at a degree level or above at a place other than a Higher Education Institution (HEI).
Where a SELT option is not required, you can take your LanguageCert International ESOL exam online or at a LanguageCert Approved Test Centre to meet your UK university admission requirements.
Who accepts LanguageCert?
LanguageCert scores are accepted by top UK universities, including the University of York, University of Warwick, University of Nottingham, University of Leeds, University of Liverpool, Imperial College London, and the London University of the Arts.
