Overview

Arden University is a career-focused UK university best known for flexible online and blended learning. Headquartered at Arden House in Coventry, it teaches students from more than 140 countries, and over 7,000 international students already study with Arden on campus in the UK.

Arden’s UK campuses span London (Ealing, Holborn, and Stratford), Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leeds, and Newcastle, alongside a campus in Berlin and a fully online route. For international students studying full-time in the UK, courses are currently offered at the London Stratford and Manchester campuses. Popular postgraduate options include the MBA, MSc Data Science, MSc Cyber Security, MSc Project Management, MSc Engineering Management, MSc Supply Chain Management and Logistics, and the Master of Public Health, with undergraduate top-up degrees in business, computing, and health and care management.

Teaching is organised across two faculties, Business and Innovation and Social Sciences and Technology, with specialist schools including the School of Applied Technology and AI and the School of Psychology. Blended learning students typically spend two days a week at their study centre, with the rest of their learning online.

Arden also considers relevant work experience alongside academic qualifications for many courses, which can open doors for career changers. For those choosing Berlin, graduates have the option to apply for an 18-month post-study work visa in Germany.

Services

Support starts before arrival, with visa advice, pre-arrival webinars and checklists, and a Pre-Arrival Guide for international students. At the Stratford campus, the first floor is a dedicated Student Support Floor bringing together coaches and wellbeing advisers, careers and learning success services, the Student Hub team, the Arden University Students’ Association (AUSA), and independent academic advice.

Across the university, students can also use Success Coaches, Wellbeing Services, disability support, the Cost of Living Portal, and the Careers, Employability and Alumni hub. While Stratford doesn’t have a physical library, its Learning Success Hub offers on-site academic and digital support, and Arden’s online library is available 24/7.

Rankings

Arden University was named Higher Education Institution of the Year at the EducationInvestor Awards 2025, the third time in five years it has won the title. In 2024, it ranked 16th in the UK for student satisfaction in a Times Higher Education analysis of National Student Survey results, and its Executive MBA has been named best in its class in the UK by CEO Magazine. In 2026, Arden was also shortlisted as Higher Education Partner of the Year at the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Awards 2025. The university is a member of QAA.

Accommodation

Arden University doesn’t list its own halls of residence for international students. Instead, it provides accommodation guidance as part of its pre-arrival support, helping students find safe and comfortable housing near their chosen campus. Students heading to Stratford or Manchester are encouraged to start their search early and use the university’s pre-arrival resources to compare options before travelling.
