Overview

The University of Cyberjaya (UoC) is a private healthcare-focused university located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia's first purpose-built smart city. Established in 2005 as Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences with just two programmes and 95 students, UoC has since grown into a full multidisciplinary university offering more than 50 programmes across medical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, nursing, psychology, physiotherapy, business, engineering and creative arts.

UoC has earned a five-star rating from Malaysia's Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) under the SETARA system, placing it on par with several leading public universities. Teaching is delivered by more than 200 industry-leading academicians, many of whom previously held senior roles in organisations such as the Ministry of Health and the Malaysian Nuclear Agency. The university's facilities reflect its clinical focus, including anatomy laboratories, nursing training centres and a Simulation Hospital, supported by dedicated research centres such as the Centre for Health Sciences Research.

Set on a green, five-acre eco-friendly campus, UoC has also built a track record of humanitarian engagement, including collaborations with MERCY Malaysia on disaster relief programmes. For international students, particularly from South Asia and Africa, UoC's combination of English-medium teaching, affordable fees and strong healthcare credentials makes it a distinctive choice within Malaysia's private university sector.

Services

UoC's Student Recruitment Department and Student Affairs and Development Units support international students from enrolment through to graduation, assisting with visa applications, health checks and settling-in logistics. The university's diverse, multicultural student body, drawn heavily from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and across Africa, creates a genuinely international campus community.

Career-focused support continues throughout study via UoC's start-up incubators and mentorship schemes, which help entrepreneurial students develop business ideas alongside their degrees, and through regular employer feedback mechanisms designed to keep skills development aligned with industry demand. International students benefit from two dedicated scholarship schemes: the UoC International Student Scholarship, offering up to 25% off tuition fees for strong academic performers, and the UoC Sports Scholarship, worth up to 50% off fees for athletically accomplished students.
