FOM University of Applied Sciences is a state-recognised private university, recognised by the Ministry of Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia since 1993. Headquartered in Essen, the university has more than 30 study locations across Germany, making it one of Europe's largest private universities, with over 50,000 students.
FOM offers practice-oriented bachelor's and master's degrees in Business, Management, Economics, Engineering, IT, Health, Psychology and Law. Many programmes are designed to combine academic study with practical industry experience, helping students develop career-ready skills. Accommodation
FOM does not provide on-campus accommodation. However, its International Office offers guidance to help students find suitable private housing and provides advice on practical matters such as accommodation searches and local registration.
