Overview
BIMM University is a private specialist university focused on the creative industries, offering programmes in modern music, performing arts, filmmaking and creative technology. It traces its origins to Drumtech, founded in London in 1983, and was established as the Brighton Institute of Modern Music in 2001, before becoming the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM) in 2011. Today, BIMM University teaches more than 8,000 students across nine campuses in the UK, Ireland and Germany. BIMM University Berlin is a state-accredited (staatlich anerkannt) private university offering around 21 English-taught programmes. Students benefit from industry-standard rehearsal rooms, recording studios and Mac labs equipped with professional creative software.
