York Global Impact Masters Scholarship
Our scholarships are awarded to international students to support them in achieving their goals at the University of York.
Eligibility
Open to students from USA, Canada, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Türkiye, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Egypt.
To be eligible for a Global Impact Masters Scholarship, you must
-
have a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York by 31 August 2026
-
be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 31 August 2026)
-
intend to study a full-time postgraduate taught course
You will not be eligible if
-
you hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored
-
you are a partnership student coming to study at York on an approved partnership agreement.
Students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships

LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2)

Please note, we may need to exclude other courses and pathways later in the academic year.
Scholarship amounts
Students who are domiciled in or nationals of the USA or Canada are eligible for a scholarship of £5,000.
Students who are domiciled in or nationals of India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru or Türkiye are eligible for a scholarship of £6,000.
Students who are domiciled in or nationals of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, or Egypt are eligible for a scholarship of £8,000.
