The courses span computing, law, accountancy, business and the social sciences, and several are open to students outside their traditional home schools.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new additions is <a href=\"https:\/\/x.smu.edu.sg\/taxonomy\/term\/396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">IS4002<\/a>, the Financial Services AI Immersion Programme, developed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ibf.org.sg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Institute of Banking &amp; Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore<\/a>, with placement partners including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpmorganchase.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">JPMorgan Chase<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbs.bank.in\/in\/index\/default.page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">DBS<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prudential.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Prudential<\/a>. Accountancy students can now take ACCT439, focused on agentic AI, while law students can study AI and cybersecurity regulation through LAW4092. Every SMU student will also get free access to Gemini Education Plus, so AI fluency isn&#8217;t limited by personal budget.<\/p>\n<p>For prospective Indian students, this matters because it signals a broader shift: universities are moving AI capability into mainstream coursework rather than treating it as a bolt-on elective.
