The University of Bedfordshire takes pride in its partnership with Chevening, the UK government’s esteemed global scholarship program. Supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations, we warmly welcome Chevening recipients.

Designed to cultivate international leaders, this prestigious scholarship is granted to outstanding scholars, primarily for pursuing a one-year Master’s degree. Candidates vying for the scholarship represent a diverse range of over 110 countries. The global impact of Chevening is evident through its expansive network, with more than 42,000 Chevening alumni worldwide, forming an influential and highly esteemed global community.

Chevening/University of Bedfordshire Partnership

The University of Bedfordshire is proud to offer 3 additional scholarships in partnership with Chevening for the next academic year to applicants from all Chevening-eligible countries.

Chevening-Bedfordshire Partnership Scholarships cover full tuition fees for your chosen course, funded by the University of Bedfordshire. In addition, you will receive the same stipend package and allowance as a main Chevening award.

Who can apply?

Chevening Scholarships target individuals recognised as promising future leaders in diverse fields. Prospective applicants are expected to be exceptional graduates possessing the requisite personal, intellectual, and interpersonal qualities essential for leadership roles.

Chevening published more detailed information on who can apply for the scholarship on their website, but in general applicants must:

  • have evidence they have achieved a minimum English language requirement

  • be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country at the time of applying for the award

  • hold a degree that is equivalent to at least a UK 2:2 honours degree

  • have at least two years’ work experience

  • plan to travel back to their home country after they have completed their studies

What does the scholarship cover?

The Chevening Scholarship can cover:

  • full or partial tuition fee costs

  • a living allowance

  • economy class return airfare to the UK

  • grants to cover essential spending
