France Expands Opportunities for Indian Students with New Visa Reforms and 1,700+ English-Taught Programmes

5 June 2026

France is strengthening its position as a leading study destination for Indian students through a series of education and visa reforms designed to attract 30,000 Indian learners by 2030.

The latest France–India education initiatives aim to make studying in France more accessible through simplified visa processes, affordable tuition fees and a growing portfolio of more than 1,700 English-taught programmes across disciplines, including business, technology, engineering, healthcare and the arts.

One of the most notable developments is the introduction of a five-year multiple-entry Schengen circulation visa for eligible master’s graduates. The visa allows alumni to travel across 29 European countries for professional networking, business engagements and career opportunities after completing their studies in France.

France has also aligned student visa validity with the full duration of an academic programme, helping international students avoid annual visa renewals. In addition, students can work up to 964 hours per year during their studies and may access post-study work opportunities after graduation. The reforms arrive as France continues to invest in high-growth sectors such as artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation, sustainability, aerospace, luxury business and technology.

Students considering business and management degrees are increasingly exploring institutions such as IESEG School of Management, ESSCA School of Management, Paris School of Business and Toulouse Business School (TBS). Those interested in hospitality, culinary arts, fashion and design may also look at École Ducasse Paris, Institut Lyfe, LISAA School of Design and IESA Arts & Culture.

With public French university tuition fees typically ranging from €2,770 to €3,770 per year, expanding English-language study options and enhanced access to the European job market, France is increasingly being viewed as a competitive alternative to traditional destinations such as the UK, Canada and Australia.

If you’re exploring your study options and considering France, the country offers a strong mix of globally recognised qualifications, affordable education and long-term international career prospects.
