{"id":250374,"date":"2026-09-15T01:27:44","date_gmt":"2026-09-15T05:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gostudyin.com\/canada\/?p=250374"},"modified":"2026-09-15T09:12:44","modified_gmt":"2026-09-15T13:12:44","slug":"chevening-scholarships-6","status":"publish","type":"scholarship_articles","link":"https:\/\/gostudyin.com\/canada\/study-in-uk\/scholarships\/leeds\/chevening-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Chevening Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Value<\/h4>\n<p>Fees, maintenance, return economy travel and other allowances.<\/p>\n<h4>Eligibility<\/h4>\n<p>We are proud to support Chevening Scholarships, the UK Government&rsquo;s global scholarship programme funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and partner organisations.<\/p>\n<p>These scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Be a citizen of a&nbsp;Chevening-eligible country or territory.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If applying for an award from an ODA-eligible country, be resident in an ODA-eligible country. This does not have to be the country of citizenship, but all applicants must show a clear intention to support their country of award.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If you live in a European overseas territory, you may apply through the relevant Chevening award scheme for the European country of which you are a citizen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Commit to returning to your home country (country of award) for at least two years after your scholarship ends.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Have at least two years of&nbsp;work experience&nbsp;(2,800 hours), acquired after the completion of your undergraduate degree.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies you for a UK Masters programme.&nbsp;You must have finished your undergraduate studies at least two years before the Chevening application deadline, even if you have not yet received your certificate. &nbsp;However, you will need to have your certificate by the time of your interview.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>If you are conditionally selected for a Chevening Scholarship, you must have received an unconditional offer from at least one of these course choices by 17.00 BST (UK time) on 8 July 2027.
