Liverpool Excellence Scholarship for Postgraduates

Our Liverpool Excellence Scholarship for Postgraduates offers a generous tuition fee discount to high-achieving international students.

Award

If you’re an international student, you could be eligible for a tuition fee discount of £7,000.

Eligibility criteria

To receive this scholarship, you’ll need to:

• Have a First Class or equivalent undergraduate degree.

• Pay tuition fees for the course yourself at the international rate

• Be joining a full or part-time postgraduate taught master’s course, including MRes, at our Liverpool campus in the academic year 2026/27

• Accept your offer of a place and pay your tuition fee deposit by the advertised deadlines.

New international students, as well as current University of Liverpool international students, are eligible for this scholarship. This includes:

• Undergraduate students

• Study abroad and exchange students

• Students who have completed a University of Liverpool degree at Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University

• International alumni of the University.

We won’t be able to offer you this scholarship if you:

• Studied a Pre-master’s course at the University of Liverpool International College

• Are having your fees paid by a sponsor, such as a government, commercial organisation or employer, on your behalf

• Are joining a PGCert, Professional Doctorate (including DDSc awards), MPhil, MArch, or PhD.
